Kick Designer

NOTE: This rack requires Live 11.

Kick Designer is an instrument rack for Ableton Live containing an instance of Operator and a handful of effects. The macro controls have been carefully dialed in to give the instrument a huge sweet spot, letting you quickly whip up your own kick drums without getting hung up on the minutiae of sound design.

TIP: Although the pitch of the kick drum is set using the "Kick Pitch" macro, the FM operator frequency is determined by the incoming MIDI note. This means that by playing different notes you can get slightly different timbres without changing the settings.
